Taking a bike tour on your city break is a great idea because it gives you the opportunity to get a quick overview of the area with a friendly local to tell you all the best bits.
When we visited Seville, it was one of the first things we booked in. After a quick search online we discovered the See By Bike Tour, This bike tour lasts around 3 hours and costs 30€. For that price you get the bike hire, tour guide, insurance, a map and a bottle of water.

We had Ivan as our tour guide and he managed to make the tour both funny and informative, giving us a friendly insight into both the history surrounding the city and his life in Seville. This is one of the benefits of having a tour guide – you learn so much more about everyday life within that culture.

Does the Bike Tour Need a Certain Level of Fitness?
Don’t be put off by the thought of cycling around a city. Although we cycled almost 12km over the 3 hours, it was at a leisurely pace and included plenty of stops as we hit different areas. The only requirement is that you can of course ride a bike.
Our guide was great at keeping everyone involved and together. We also had a second guide on the tour who followed up the group to ensure no one was left behind. The bottle of water that was included was a nice little addition. With the hot weather, it was needed.
Local Recommendations
During the tour we were given various recommendations as we passed certain areas, and were told what we should and shouldn’t make time for.
At the end we were each given a map showing the route we took with every place we visited highlighted and with that it also included a list of recommendations for the rest of our time there. This sort of information is invaluable and can really help to make your trip away that little more special.
