Filofax: Organising a Career.

9th February 2015 2 min read

As you may know, I’m in my final year of university and it’s time I started to plan my career – right? I have an idea of where I want to go, and I have an idea of how to go about it but I’m not quite sure. It’s scary to think that in almost three months my final deadline will have passed and I’ll pretty much be thrown out into the real world ;)

Anyway, the point is, I mentioned previously that I’ve started a careers Filofax so I thought I’d share my plans here. It hasn’t got much in (and my dividers are still plain!) but it’ll get there soon enough. I’ve started with my business cards in a plastic folder – just to remind me.

I have 5 dividers. As I said, they’re still plain right now so I haven’t taken photos of them! So my sections are:

+ Goals.
This section is just so I can see what I want to get out of my career and when I want certain things ‘done’.

+ To-Do.
This is for anything that I need to do… Obviously!

+ Jobs.
Here I’m going to keep track of jobs I’m interested in and jobs I’ve applied for.

+ Research.
Just for any research that I want to do that relates to my career goals.

I’m hoping that having a Filofax for this will keep my organised, and give me a good look at how I’m doing/what I could do better.

Does anyone have a career filofax? I’d love some tips to really get the most use out of mine! Leave your links!
